ABOUT

JUBILEE

When Jesus announces the beginning of his ministry, he points to the year of Jubilee: “I have come to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” [Luke 4]. Jesus points to the Year of Jubilee [Leviticus 25] as the picture of redemption and wholeness. We invite students to follow Jesus and to surrender to his work of redemption. The work that God is doing in and through Jesus is a gift and a call to live into this cosmic work of restoring all things.

The Jubilee Conference is hosted by the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach).

Inviting to

Jubilee

Personal and clear invitations are always the best! We have heard from CCO staff that the best invitations explain what Jubilee is and try to highlight one aspect of the conference that will encourage the student to come.

Need help? Here’s a good place to start: “Jubilee is a 3-day conference for college students to learn how their faith impacts every area of their life. There are main sessions with keynote speakers, communal worship, and teaching. And then there are breakout sessions where you can dive into more specific topics, including workshops led by Christians who are currently working in their fields. While there’s a lot of learning, we also have a LOT of fun.”

Student

Rates

We strive to make Jubilee as affordable as possible for all groups. See the register page or the Student Rates graphic to see the discounts if you register early! Please note that there are separate rates for students and non-students. Rates can be found here. Registration opens on Thursday, October 2 at noon ET.

Many CCO Fellowships find success in fundraising. Groups have raised money for Jubilee in the following ways:

  • letter writing campaigns

  • dinners or bake sales

  • online campaigns (e.g. GoFundMe)

  • and many more

You are always welcome to reach out to us if you have any questions about student rates or fundraising.

Logistical

Planning

Logistics can be a lot.  We know what it’s like to be swimming in logistics leading up to a conference. We are here to help you!

Logistics | Take some time in December and January to plan out some Jubilee details using a checklist (linked here) and then free up the rest of your time to be with students, inviting them into Jubilee. If you have specific questions about Jubilee planning, please contact us at jubilee@ccojubilee.org. We are here to help you!

Housing | You have the flexibility and convenience of booking your own rooms for your students. You will be able to keep your hotel reservations current in real-time with the Westin. Visit our registration page for the hotel reservation links.

Parking | For cars, we recommend Grant Street Transportation Center for Jubilee weekend. If you arrive after 4 PM on Friday, the weekend daily rate is $6/day.

For buses, we recommend The 15th Street and Smallman Lot for Jubilee weekend.

Note: Buses need to arrive before 7 PM on Friday 2/13 or Saturday 2/14. Please email alco@pittsburghcc.com to make arrangements. Advance arrangements are required.

Registration Payments | We enable partial pay for student registrations, recognizing that fundraising and partial payments are helpful for students. A $50 down payment is required for one registration. Then, please plan to pay all remaining balances before our online registration system closes on February 14th. Click on the link in their individual confirmation email to pay remaining balances.

  • If you would like to pay a lump sum to cover multiple balances, reach out to us at jubilee@ccojubilee.org. We can generate invoices, talk about payment options, and connect you with our finance department if needed!

  • For extenuating circumstances, remaining balances can be paid onsite at Registration via cash, check, or credit card. Please visit the “solutions” table before checking in to pay your remaining balance.
