At the Memphis Teacher Residency (MTR), we believe:

• Educational inequality is one of today’s greatest civil rights issues

• God calls us to love others and seek justice for all

• Teaching children is one of the most important and noble professions
  
  MTR a faith-based, non-profit organization founded in 2009 to recruit, train, and support effective teachers in a Christian context. We offer three ways to get involved in our mission of Christian love expressed in equal education: two summer fellowships for undergraduate sophomores & juniors and a teacher residency program for college graduates that provide top-notch support, training, and community.
